Today’s Garden Antics – Felicity’s Raid & The Motown Wig

This morning was a classic episode of Ghillie Suit Gardening.I headed out with my trusty trug and tea towel, ready to do the usual breakfast service. Felicity was already sitting patiently like a VIP customer who’d reserved the best table. She watched me lay out the full spread — cat food, peanut butter sandwiches, seeds, suet pellets, nuts and mealworms — with the calm confidence of someone who knows she’s about to clear the entire buffet. And clear it she did.She strolled up and ate the whole lot. Every single last bit.
The Walters, the magpies, the littlies and the six ninjas didn’t stand a chance.
So I had to go back out for Round Two like a tired waitress who just got stiffed on her tip.Meanwhile, in the plant world:

Fatima the Fatsia is fully embracing her Motown Diva era. She’s grown this fabulous, bright lime-green bouffant wig on top and is proudly taking a bow. She looks wild, glamorous, and slightly chaotic — exactly how a recovering Fatsia should look after everything she’s been through.

Caroline the Cordyline, on the other hand, is still deep in her tragic Victorian heroine phase. She’s flopped dramatically on the ground, giving maximum side-eye to anyone who dares look at her. No new leaves yet, just pure sulk and the impending sense of doom of Tom with his lawnmower. The garden is a proper soap opera at the moment.Felicity is running the show, Fatima is serving looks, Caroline is serving drama and side-eye, and I’m just trying to keep everyone fed without going bankrupt. The end (until tomorrow… when it will almost certainly happen all over again)One mouse you say? Okaaaay.
