Ghillie Suit Gardening – The Rat That Appeared After Felicity LeftLast night the trail camera caught something I really wasn’t expecting.Felicity had been on the patio, then moved on… and shortly afterwards this absolute whopper of a rat popped out. He was a big lad — looked massive on the camera, bold as brass, and clearly checking out the area now the coast was clear.It’s the first rat I’ve seen on the camera since I started using it. I’m not thrilled, to put it mildly. Rats breed fast and I really don’t want them setting up home here.The good news is I’ve already removed the ground-level water dishes and I’m only using elevated feeding now. Hopefully that will make the garden less inviting for him.Still… he was a proper big one. Not the sort of visitor I was hoping to see on the night patrol.The Wildlife Cafe has had some interesting guests lately. Not all of them welcome.
