Caroline’s Quiet Comeback

After weeks of looking like a sad little stump with a DNR notice, Caroline has decided she’s not quite finished yet.Tom spotted the first signs a few days ago, and this morning I went out to have a proper look. There they are — two tiny, bright green shoots pushing through near the base. One is a bit more visible, the other is still very small and shy, but it’s definitely there.Even with the old wound sealant still sitting on top like a fuzzy white hat, she’s quietly getting on with it. After all the transplant shock, the dramatic decline, and the long silence, Caroline is showing us she’s a proper tough old girl.I’m not counting my chickens (or cordylines) just yet, but this feels like real progress. She’s been through a lot, and she’s still fighting back in her own stubborn way.Hopefully she’s properly hardened off by now… because this garden has had quite enough drama from her already 😂Welcome back, Caroline. You absolute legend. 🥰
